Course/Module description:
Readings from medieval Judeo-Arabic manuscripts of the polemical work Toledot Yeshu, alongside the reading of secondary sources on polemic and on the multiple versions of the work.

Course/Module aims:
Learning about interreligious polemic and common arguments employed.
Develop student skills in manuscript reading in Judeo-Arabic

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. Gain familiarity with the well-known medieval polemic Toledot Yeshu
2. Develop skill in reading Judeo-Arabic manuscripts
3. Gain familiarity with the field of interreligious polemics
