Course/Module description:
The course is devoted to conversation in literary Arabic and practice the skill of writing in Arabic. During the lesson, students will discuss a variety of topics which prepared in accordance with the guidelines teacher of the course. Sometimes the class discussion will be led by one of the students. Every two weeks the students will be required to submit a writing assignment.
Course/Module aims:
This course will enable students to converse in literary Arabic.
It will transform their passive understanding of Arabic into an active one, relying on their vast knowledge of Arabic vocabulary as well as reading translation skills.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. Conduct a conversation in literary Arabic over variety of topics.
2. Write paragraphs on various topics in Arabic

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction:
Conversing in class using literary Arabic.
Topics of conversation will be provided to students in advance and they will be required to prepare accordingly.
While a lesson is devoted to discussion of literary works they will be expected to be familiar with the work in question and answer oral questions in Arabic about it. For other classes they will be required to watch movies and listen to certain audio files.

Biographies of famous personalities.
Current events.
Expressing opinions regarding the dilemmas presented in the classroom.
A brief description of the film: The film's plot, characters, etc.
