Course/Module description:
The course will examine the different ways in which the notion of time is related to consciousness

Course/Module aims:
understanding of some of the ways that connect time to consciousness

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
to understand the relation between time and consciousness and the philosophers who discussed it.

Course/Module Content:
1. What is time?
2. The concept of time and consciousness: Aristotle and Augustine
3. The temporality of consciousness: Kant and Bergson.
4. How are we conscious of time? James and Husserl.
5. Difficulties in the account of the consciousness of time (Gallagher)
5. Time and Narrative: Ricoeur.
