Course/Module description:
The course will cover the development of Greek philosophy from its inception to the fourth century BC.

Course/Module aims:
The objective of the course is to introduce students to the main themes in Greek philosophy from the pre-Socratics through Plato and Aristotle.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Understand the main ideas in the sphere of metaphysics, epistemology and ethics.
Deal independently with the relevant ancient texts.
Identify in the texts the themes we will discuss in class.
Analyze the various arguments in the ancient texts.
Relate to each other the ideas of the different philosophers we will discuss in class.
