Course/Module description:
In the course, we will become acquainted with the great issues that shaped the Western philosophical thought and the Jewish thought that responded to it. We will meet fundamental issues such as the concepts of God, human being, the meaning of Jewish practice (Halakhah), the perception of history. The course will deal primarily with Jewish thought in the Middle Ages and will expose the students to major issues with which major Jewish thinkers, such as Philo, Maimonides, Rihal.
Course/Module aims:
We will Recognize the principle of encounter and the interpretive integration as a fundamental principle in the field of Jewish thought. the course will demonstrate this idea in various frameworks through Jewish thought in the Middle Ages .
We will look closely on the principles of integration its advantage and its interpretive price.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
We will learn to: [1] Identify the various interpretation processes created in "Jewish thought."
[2] The students will understand the influence of the integration on basic issues as Jewish Law, God and History
[3] The students will have some critical and analytical tools on the hermeneutic prices of the discipline of Jewish Thought

The course will take place in a dialogic spirit in the presence of the students in the classroom, without accompanying zoom and without recordings.
I believe a meaningful study should involve a living dialogue between the teacher and the class. The presence of each other is a central occurrence in the learning process.
The classes will, therefore, not be recorded unless there is a real epidemic that does not allow teaching on campus.
The presentations accompanying the lesson are not part of the materials delivered to the students, and you can take pictures of these presentations during the lessons. At the end of every class, I will send bay moodle all the textual information we studied together and my lesson summary with my reading instructions.
