Course/Module description:
The course will deal with the history of the Jews under Islamic rule from the middle ages up to the end of this diaspora c.1948. among the subjects: Jewish-Muslim relations, communal life, economy, culture etc.

Course/Module aims:
The student will gain basic knowledge on a milenium of Jewish life in various islamic countries. it will be arranged along themes rather than by place or a period.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
The student will learn about Jews under Islam from various vantage points.
