Course/Module description:
The first part of the course will deal with the historical phenomena of Messianism, including Messianic idea in the bible and in Rabbinic literature and the Messianic movements in the middle ages and early modern period. The second part of the course will focus on the background and factors for the emergence of Zionism and the relationship between Zionism and Messianism.
