Course/Module description:
This course will examine the new Bible curriculum and attempt to highlight the underlying principles as well as the practical implications of the curriculum in the field. The course will focus on the educational objectives, pedagogic and didactic approaches, and will examine the various challenges in the implementation of the program in schools. During the course students will review a sizable number of Biblical chapters from the curriculum, and thereby attempt to expose the students to a range of different Biblical genres and train the students to teach the curriculum with a rich and practical array of educational tools.
Course/Module aims:
1.Familiarize students with the current Bible curriculum in the National schools for grades 7-12
2. To examine the underlying principles of the curriculum
3. To review selected chapters from the curriculum and to discuss some of the challenges in teaching these sections.
4. To analyze some of the results of the implementation of the curriculum in the system.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1.Students will acquire critical skills in evaluating the new Bible curriculum
2.Students will acquire exegetical. Literary and historical skills that are taught in the Bible curriculum
3.The student will learn to discern the ideological bases in the Bible curriculum
4.The student will be exposed to the range of different pedagogic approaches that are included in the Bible curriculum.

5. מתי יתרגמו את התנ"ך לעברית. התמודדות עם שפת התנ"ך בשיעור.
6. אלוהים בהוראת תנ"ך.
7. היחסים המורכבים של אקדמיה והוראה: חקר המקרא בבית הספר.
8. מיומנויות לימוד.
9. ניפוץ או סדיקה - להוראת ערכים בשיעורי תנ"ך.
10. המבחן כאמצעי הוראה וחינוך.
11. חוברים לימוד - סיכויים וסיכונים.
12. בחינת בגרות - סיכויים וסיכונים.
