Jewish Culture is a new discipline in the general school system and the Revivim students teach it in their second year.
The course relates to the background, development and issues that stem from it, like the notion of Jewish identity in the non-religious schools that reflect an important aspect of the Israeli society and the "core knowledge" or education for values etc.

The aims of the course:
1. Acknowledge the new discipline "Jewish Culture", the background of including it in schools.
2. Introducing pedagogical principles
3. Introducing some basic conflicts that are related to the teaching of the subject
4. Introducing different approaches in teaching the discipline
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
At the end of the course the students will understand the uniqueness of the discipline and will be able to constructe a series of lessons based on attentive teaching.
