Course/Module description:
We will study a selection of sugyot through which we will deal with main questions in the history and form of the Jerusalem Talmud text and its research.

Course/Module aims:
Acquaintance with the Talmud and training in the main methods for its study and research

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
To study simple sugyot in the Jerusalem Talmud, analyse its text and understand studies dealing with it.

Course/Module Content:
Transmission of the Talmud and its written evidence; its inner structure (mainly duplicate passages); its relations with relevant (Palestinian and Babylonian); other principle phenomena
