Course/Module description:
The seminar is a gathering of M.A. students who write a Master Thesis, as part of the requirements for this degree. The main purpose of the seminar is to allow these students to use the knowledge base acquired in various courses of research methods of the social and behavioral sciences, and enrich the basis of this knowledge, for use in writing the thesis in its various stages, including writing a research proposal. Our expectation of this seminar is to allow a mutual discussion and feedback on topics which are theoretical, conceptual, methodological, ethical and more, related to the process of writing a research proposal, and getting it approved toward the end of the first semester.

Course/Module aims:
We expect this seminar to develop, strengthen, and enrich the methodological knowledge and research skills of students in the following areas:
1. The role of research in social work.
2. Personal contexts , inter-personal, methodological, cultural, ethical, and other contexts in social work research.
3. Development and formulation of a research topic, formulating research objectives and expected contribution, reviewing relevant literature, developing the conceptual framework, the formulation of research questions and writing a research proposal on the topic.
4. Paradigms, methods and approaches to qualitative research in social work.
5. Develop researcher's reflectivity
