תאור כללי של הקורס:
הקורס מאפשר לסטודנטים להבין את התהליכים, ההיבטים והמימדים השונים של בעיית האלימות של גברים נגד נשים במשפחה ובקשר אינטימי. יושם דגש על הבנת הבעיה מפרספקטיבות ותיאוריות שונות: תיאוריות פסיכודינמיות, תיאוריות התיסכול והאגרסיה, תיאורית החליפין, תיאורית המשאבים, תיאורית הקונפליקט, תיאורית הלמידה החברתית, תיאורית המערכות, הפרספקטיבה הפמיניסטית, התיאוריה האקולוגית, ועוד. תיאוריות ופרספקטיביות אלה תוצגנה ותנותחנה באופן ביקורתי. יובלטו גם מאפיינים של גברים אלימים במשפחה ובקשר אינטימי, גורמי הסיכון לאלימות נגד נשים והאוריינטציות המניעתיות וההתערבותיות עפ"י כל אחת מהתאוריות הנ"ל. יובלטו גם ההשלכות של התנסות הנשים באלימות, תוך התייחסות להשלכות עליהן ועל ילדיהן, והתמודדותן עם התנסות זו.

מטרות הקורס:
א. על רמת הידע, מטרות הקורס הן:
1. להגביר את ההבנה לבסיס הידע התיאורטי והאמפירי אודות ההתנהגות האלימה של גברים כלפי נשים.
2. להבהיר ולבחון את האלמנטים הקונצפטואליים של ידע זה והשלכותיו על התהליך והתוכן ההתערבותי עם גברים אלימים, ועם נשים מוכות וילדיהן.
3. לבחון את אפשרויות יישומן של תיאוריות שונות ומודלים התערבותיים שונים בעבודה עם גברים אלימים ועם נשים מוכות וילדיהן.
4. להבין את אפשרויות השימוש בסכימות קונצפטואליות שונות וקריטריונים רלוונטים על מנת לנתח באופן ביקרותי מודלים שונים של התערבות עם גברים אלימים ועם נשים מוכות וילדיהן.
5. להבין את התרומה התיאורטית והאמפירית של דיסיפלינות שונות לידע ההסברתי וההתערבותי עם גברים אלימים ועם נשים מוכות וילדיהן.
6. להעמיק את הבנתנו לקונטקסט הסוציו-תרבותי של בעית האלימות נגד נשים.

ב. על הרמה האפקטיבית (Affective) מטרות הקורס הן:
1. להגביר את ההערכה לחשיבותו של ידע תיאורטי ואמפירי אודות בעיה זאת.
2. להגביר את ההערכה לחשיבות פיתוח מודלים התערבותיים וידע אמפירי מוצק כבסיס לפיתוח התערבויות עם גברים אלימים ועם נשים מוכות וילדיהן.
3. להעמיק את ההערכה לחשיבות הבנת הסיבות והסיטואציות (על רמת המקרו והמיקרו) העומדות ביסודה של בעיה זאת.
4. להגביר את המודעות לחשיבות מחויבות העבודה הסוציאלית כפרופסיה להתערבות עם גברים אלימים ועם נשים מוכות וילדיהן.
5. להגביר את הרגישות לאתיקה המקצועית בשלמותה כבסיס אתי וערכי שיש להשען עליו בזמן ההתערבות עם מקרים אלה.
6. להגביר ולהעמיק את הרגישות להבדלים סוצי-תרבותיים בהקשר לבעיה זאת.

תוצרי למידה :
בסיומו של קורס זה, סטודנטים יהיו מסוגלים:
1. מטרתו של הקורס להגביר את המיומנויות של הסטודנטים להשתמש בידע התיאורטי, האמפירי, וההתערבותי לעבודה עם גברים אלימים ועם נשים מוכות וילדיהן.
2. לפתח מיומנויות של שימוש במסגרות קונצפטואליות שמיועדות להעריך, לבקר, ולהשוות מודלים שונים להבנת התהליכים השונים הקשורים בבעיה וההתערבות עמה.

3. להגביר את המיומנויות של הסטודנטים לקשר בין פרקטיקה לתיאוריה, להתייחס לתיאוריה במושגים אופרציונאליים, ולבחון ולהשוות גישות תיאורטיות אלטרנטיביות - בכל מה שקשור לבעיה זאת.
4. לרכוש מיומנויות בשילוב ומיזוג גישות תיאורטיות והתערבותיות, מתחום העבודה הסוציאלית ומדיסיפלניות ופרופסיות אחרות, להתערבות עם מקרים אלה.
5. להגביר את מיומנויותיהם של סטודנטים בהערכת האפקטיביות של תיאוריות שונות להבנת הבעיה ואפשרויות יישומן מבחינה התערבותית ומניעתית.
