Course/Module description:
The course deals with intervention methods suitable for community social work. The topics studied: community entry and diagnosis, making contact with residents and motivation for action, models of community intervention, planning and evaluation of community intervention.

Course/Module aims:
To teach methods of community social work to students majoring in community social work. Course Objectives:
 Analyze social situations and diagnose social problems.
 Get to know models of community intervention and use them to understand community action.
 To acquire basics of working with individuals, groups and organizations in a planned social change process.
 Know how to prepare a community intervention plan.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
The course includes a theoretical part that focuses on basic concepts and methods of intervention and also a practical part in which the participants present their work in the field, for analysis and joint discussion in the class around various social issues and for the learning of work skills suitable for the different populations the students meet during their professional training.

Attendance requirements(%):
Full and active attendance during all the classes.

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: The course requires active learning. Students will read articles and debate the issues in class.
