Course/Module description:
The course will deal with familiarity with the basic principles of parental guidance, the need for self-awareness and the development of parental awareness. And basic skills for promoting parental functioning
Course/Module aims:
The course seeks to provide theoretical knowledge about parent counseling, developing parental awareness and basic skills in working with parents.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Students will be able to relate to the complexity of parenting and demonstrate the need for parental guidance.
Students will be able to identify defects in parental functioning and to introduce appropriate interventions.
Students will be able to link parenting and parental functioning
The students knew how to guide parents to develop parental awareness.
Students will be able to assess the functioning of parents who need to rehabilitate parental authority

1. Parenting experience and the need for parent guidance.
2. Parental guidance: The continuum between parenting and dyadic intervention.
3. Parental awareness - the motherhood constellation, intergenerational transmission and the role of the child in the parental experience.
4. Skills of parental self-listening
5. Limits and parental authority: Parental presence, supervision and role of the anchor
6. Issues and dilemmas in parental guidance
