Course/Module description:
The course brings different perspectives on social impact: how it is created and the role and connection between local government, central government and civil society in creating it. The course is based on the experience of the Institute of Leadership and Governance - JDC-Israel, and it will be based on practical examples from the field.
Course/Module aims:
1. To learn theoretical and practical leadership, and how to make an influence when dealing with complex social problems
2. To gain the skills and tools needed to influence large scale social changes
3. To create a network of peer learning
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. Identify the main activities of the different sectors.
2. Characterize the main challenges of each sector in creating social impact.
3. Define a social problem that requires partneting between sectors
Attendance requirements(%):
Attendance is required: you are allowed up to two absences.
Teaching arrangement and method of instruction:
The course includes: lectures, at home reading, case studies, and final assignment.
