Comprehensive course on major topics in biology. The course focuses on the relationship between structure and function.

Introducing Selected fundamental concepts in biology & tools for biological analysis. Preparation for academic studies

Understand the structure of cells
Understand intracellular processes
Understand the relationship between the structure of a cell and its function

• Immunology: The innate & adaptive response
• Basic Chemistry: Atomic structure, Molecular & intermolecular forces
• Biochemistry: Sugars, lipids, proteins
• The cell: Membrane, cell junctions, cytoskeleton, protein sorting
• Cell cycle: control, Mitosis & Meiosis
• Genetics: - Autosomal & X linked traits, Pedigrees
• Molecular Biology: Replication, transcription & translation, Genetic engineer
