Course/Module description:
General introduction to Pediatrics, common diseases and prevention, revolutions in pediatrics and the current status of pediatrics in our times.

Course/Module aims:
Knowledge on pediatric diseases, past and present, changes in pediatrics in history, treatment and prevention.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Knowledge on disease and cure in pediatrics. Basic tools for understanding pediatric diseases and their prevention.

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Lectures and discussions with students.

Course/Module Content:
History of pediatrics. The human body. Commom diseases, past and present. Revolutions in pediatrics. Immunizations. New technologies. The new diseases - ADHD, obesity, anorexia, prematurity. National programs for treatment and prevention.
