Weil conjecture on Tamagawa Numbers

The goal of this seminar is to study two approaches to the proof of the conjecture

In the first part of the seminar we will describe a classical theory, due to Weil, Langlands, ..., Kottwitz, while in second part will be devoted to a recent geometric approach of
Gaitsgory and Lurie.
