Course/Module description:
Basic course to get acquainted with the digital working environment of the school for computer science and engineering.

Course/Module aims:

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Use the command-line shell in Linux-based operating systems, get around the HUJI CSE environment, use virtualenv and virtual computers, and work with Git.

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Online learning.

Course/Module Content:
- Linux: command line, filesystem, users, permissions, pipelining, input/output redirection, basic tools, text editing, process management.
- HUJI CSE environment: special folders, disk space management, connecting from the outside.
- Virtual environments: python's virtualenv, virtual machines.
- Git: basic usage.
