תאור כללי של הקורס:
מטרת הקורס הנה לבחון סוגיות ליבה הנוגעות למערכת אכיפת החוק בארץ ובכלל, דרך הפריזמה של תיאוריות ארגוניות והתנהגותיות. נדון בהיבטים שונים הרלוונטיים לארגוני מערכת אכיפת החוק כגון מערכות פתוחות מול סגורות, מורכבות מטרות הארגון, מבנים בלתי פורמאליים בארגונים, השפעות סביבתיות על הארגון ועוד, ונבחן את יישום המודלים ב"עולם האמיתי". הקורס בנוי כסדנא המשלבת הרצאות פרונטאליות, הרצאות אורחים ועבודה עצמאית.

מטרות הקורס:
מטרת הקורס היא להכיר ולנתח את מערכת אכיפת החוק באמצעות תיאוריות ארגוניות והתנהגותיות. ניתוח שכזה מוליד שאילת שאלות ודיון על היבטים במערכת זו שלפעמים נתפסים כמציאות פשוטה.

תוצרי למידה :
בסיומו של קורס זה, סטודנטים יהיו מסוגלים:
להגדיר את הארגונים המרכזיים במערכת אכיפת החוק ותפקידם.
לזהות הבדלים בפעילות ארגוני מערכת אכיפת החוק במקומות שונים ובתקופות שונות.
לתאר את המושגים הבסיסיים בניתוח ארגונים.
להשתמש במושגים ובתיאוריות השונות בכדי לנתח ארגונים במערכת אכיפת החוק.
לאור הניתוח, לבחון היבטים שונים בתפקוד ארגוני מערכת אכיפת החוק בעיניים ביקורתיות.
