Course/Module description:
This workshop follows the course "workshop for MA thesis", and prepares students for writing a Master's thesis at the Institute of Criminology. The workshop is based on group and personal meetings, to help students formulate a thesis proposal.

Course/Module aims:
The main purpose of this course is to provide research-track students with the necessary knowledge and tools for writing a Master's thesis in Criminology. The course also help to monitor the progress of the student with the writing of the thesis

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Locate relevant literature to a selected topic
Identify and different types of literature summarize and evaluate it.
Locate a potential supervisor
Develop a research question
Write a proposal for a Master's thesis
Discuss and deal with ethical concerns in academic research
Discuss and deal with various difficulties that may arise while carrying out a research project.
