תאור כללי של הקורס:
מטרת קורס זה הנה להציג ולדון הן בתחום הקורבנות והן בתחום הענישה. הקורס יסקור את תולדות הויקטימולוגיה (מלשון victim), יציג גישות שונות להבנת התחום וידון בטיפולוגיה של קורבנוֹת ובהסברים לה, תוך שימת דגש על המצוקות של קורבנות הפשיעה ויחסיהם עם קבוצות חברתיות ומוסדות שונים, כגון אמצעי התקשורת, גורמים עסקיים, פוליטיים וקבוצות עניין. בנוסף ידונו סוגיות של צדק ופיצוי מנקודת מבטו של הקורבן ותוצגנה תכניות סיוע לקורבנות. תחום נושק המהווה את חלקו השני של הקורס הוא הענישה. נדון בהתפתחותה המוקדמת של הענישה, תוך עמידה על מטרותיה , מגבלותיה, תוצאותיה והשפעותיה הן על העבריין והן על קורבן העבירה.

מטרות הקורס:
• הכרות עם מושגי היסוד בויקטימולוגיה ופנולוגיה
• התבוננות ביקורתית על מקומו של הקורבן בתהליך הפלילי
• הבנת ההתפתחות ההיסטורית של הענישה, בקהילה ומחוצה לה
• הכרות עם מערכת הענישה בישראל
• בחינת חלופות לתפיסות מקובלות על ענישה ותפקידו של הקורבן

תוצרי למידה :
בסיומו של קורס זה, סטודנטים יהיו מסוגלים:
1. להסביר את מושגי היסוד ביחס לקורבנות עבירה, ולתאר את ההתפתחויות והמגמות של תפקידם במשפט הפלילי.
2. לתאר את התהליך ההיסטורי של התפתחות הענישה, תוך התייחסות למטרות הענישה בתקופות השונות.
3. לבחון את הקורבנות והענישה כשני צדדים של התהליך הפלילי, ואת השפעתם ההדדית על תפיסות חברתיות.
4. להתייחס באופן ביקורתי למקומו של הקורבן ולתפקיד הענישה בתהליך הפלילי בישראל, ולבחון חלופות למצב הקיים.
