תאור כללי של הקורס:
הקורס נועד לבחון סוגיות נבחרות בתחום הצגת הסטייה והפשיעה בתקשורת בכלל ובאינטרנט בפרט. במסגרת הקורס נתייחס, למשל, לנושא אילו הדיווח על פשיעה, השפעת הדיווח התקשורתי על עיצוב המדיניות של מערכת אכיפת החוק ומערכות אחרות (לדוגמא, הכנסת, מערכת החינוך), יחסי הגומלין בין משטרה ותקשורת, התקשורת וההליך המשפטי, "רצח אופי בתקשורת", פשיעה, סטייה ופיקוח חברתי באינטרנט , "פאניקה מוסרית" בתקשורת, עבריינים כגיבורי תרבות. הדיון בסוגיות יתמקד בהצגת מודלים תיאורטיים, סקירת המחקרים וניתוח של דוגמאות מתחום הסיקור התקשורתי.

מטרות הקורס:
המטרה הראשונה היא להעמיק את הידע של הסטודנטים לגבי הסיקור של הפשיעה ועבודת המשטרה.
המטרה השנייה היא לבחון את המגמות שחלו בפשיעה וסטייה באינטרנט.

תוצרי למידה :
בסיומו של קורס זה, סטודנטים יהיו מסוגלים:
לבחון את התיאוריות בנושא פשיעה ומדיה.
לדון בסוגיות נבחרות בתחום הצגת הסטייה והפשיעה בתקשורת ובאינטרנט בפרט.
לבחון את המגמות שחלו בנושא הפשיעה והסטייה באינטרנט.
לדון בסוגיות אתיות הקשורות לסיקור בנושא הפשיעה.
לאתר ספרות מחקר לכתיבת עבודה.
לכתוב עבודת רפרט.
