תאור כללי של הקורס:
הקורס דן בסוגיה מהי מדיניות וכיצד ניתן לחקור אותה ולנתח אותה מבחינה אנתרופולוגית?
מטרת המחקר האנתרופולוגי של המדיניות הציבורית היא לבחון את פעולתה של המדיניות כתופעה סוציו-תרבותית והיסטורית על היבטיה הרבים: כמושג; ככלי של ממשל; כאתוס של יוצרי המדיניות עצמם; כאוסף של טכנולוגיות אשר יוצר מגוון צורות ממשול ואופנים של סובייקטיביות.

מטרות הקורס:
בקורס זה אנו נכיר את הגישות התיאורטיות המרכזיות של האנתרופולוגיה של המדינה ושל המדיניות, ונבחן כיצד מדיניות מפותחת ומיושמת תוך התבוננות במשטרי האמת והכוח שבמסגרתם היא מופיעה, במגוון של תחומים, כגון: ביטחון והומינטריזם, מדע וטכנולוגיה, בריאות וסביבה.

תוצרי למידה :
בסיומו של קורס זה, סטודנטים יהיו מסוגלים:
לזהות את הרכיב האנושי במדיניות
לנתח באופן ביקרותי מדיניות כתוצר אנושי
ליישם את הידע התיאורטי הנרכש בקורס לצורך התמודדות עמוקה כמול מדיניות

שיטת ההוראה בקורס: הקורס נחלק לשני מרכיבים: סמינר ומעבדה אנתרופולוגית. בחלק הראשון של המפגש נדון בנושאים התיאורטיים השונים במבנה של סמינר המתבסס על דיון משותף ומעמיק. בחלק השני של המפגש נתחלק לקבוצות עבודה קבועות שבהן נתנסה במחקר משותף של סוגיות מדיניות מתוך גישה אנתרופולוגית ביקורתית.
