Course/Module description:
The course deals with basic concepts and analytical tools in economics: production possibility frontier and alternative cost, economic growth and international trade, production function and resource allocation, competitive market mechanism, economic behavior of producers and consumers, supply and demand, elasticity, equilibrium, monopoly, externalities, government intervention. The course has one final exam (mandatory).

Understanding basic concepts and learning basic analytical tools in economics

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Students will be able to understand basic concepts in economics and to analyze market behavior

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Frontal lectures in class and solution of problem sets
