Course/Module description:
The European Unon is a unique "beast" from political, institutional, governmental, economic and legal perspectives. It is also unique from disciplinary point of view - much more than international organization but less than a state. As such it is a challenge to researchers.
The course will examine its uniquness since WWII until the euro and refugee/asylum and Brexit crisis today. It will explain how the EU works and analyze the change of institutional equilibrium along the years and the policy incremental transformations in the single market, euro, schengen zone and foreing and security policy.
Course/Module aims:
To develop wide knowledge and deep understanding about the European integration project from historical, political-institutional, policy perspectives.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
.1. to define the basic terminology of European integration
2. To describe, explain, compare and analyze the ups and downs in the integration process.
3. to analyze the integration process with different theoretical tools
4. to generalize and exemplify processes and phenomena in the integration process

This course is the obligatory one for enroling to the study tour course to Brussels.
The course is open to BA in their third year.
Up to 5 bonus points may be given for active and contributing participation in the course (according to lecturer's consideration).
