Course/Module description:
what are the different feminist approaches that influenced human rights struggles and social change? what are the new areas in the feminist theories and activism that expanded the opportunity for change? we will learn from women in Liberia and South Africa, Etti Hen from the Maabara, and a learning that is based on the feminist pedagogy of Bell hooks.

Course/Module aims:
The purpose is to allow a shared learning amongs students with gender studies background, who are interested in combining between theoretical knowledge in human rights and feminism and learning from being active in those areas, students who are willing to receive a scholarship can approach the assistant teacher, Einat.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. presentation in class (30%)
2. Final paper (60%)
3. active participation in class (10%)
4. students who are willing to write a seminar paper are requested to arrange that with the professor in advance
