Course/Module description:
Practical course in clinical neurology directed exclusively to students in the 3rd year of the rehabilitation psychology track. The students will join the medical students in their neurology clerkship, including lectures, bedside visits, and clinical discussions. Participating students will get weekly tutoring at the department of psychology
Course/Module aims:
The goal of the course is to provide the future neuropsychologists with a first-hand acquaintance with the major neurological diseases and with the mode of operation of neurology and neurosurgery departments, from which most of the patients requiring the neuropsychologist's services will come.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Describe the characteristics of the major neurological diseases
Understand the medical approach including diagnosis, treatment and follow-up
Understand and use terms used by the medical and para-medical professionals
