Course/Module description:
The course is intended for master's degree students studying in the clinical and clinical-rehabilitation tracks and is built on the foundations laid down in the "Fundamentals of Psychopathology" course held in the first semester. The course will encompass common psychiatric diagnoses with an emphasis on the symptomatic criteria of the DSM-5, phenomenology, and central approaches to understanding the etiology and the maintaining factors. The course will include many clinical examples to strengthen the integration between theory and practice.

Course/Module aims:
Extending the students' familiarity with common psychiatric diagnoses according to a medical and psychological model based on different approaches as well as developing critical clinical thinking about the use of the different approaches in practical work. Additionally, the course will accompany the experience of the students in the clinical practicum while providing relevant knowledge and tools.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
1. Know common psychiatric diagnoses as described in DSM-5.
2. Understand the etiological background for these diagnoses.
3. Give a diagnosis according to the DSM-5 criteria.
4. Discuss diagnoses and differential diagnoses.
5. Know the recommended indications for treatment according to diagnosis.

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Lectures and guest lecturers, discussion of reading materials, discussion of vignettes, videos, group presentations by students.
