תאור כללי של הקורס:
הקורס נבנה על היסודות שהונחו בקורס "מבוא לפסיכופתולוגיה" שנערך בסמסטר א'. הקורס יתמקד באבחנות פסיכיאטריות עיקריות (כדוגמת שימוש בחומרים, הפרעות חרדה ומצב רוח, הפרעות אכילה והפרעות פסיכוטיות), תוך הצגת הקריטריונים של ה- DSM-5, וכן הרציונל והעדויות המחקריות שהובילו לשינויי לעומת ה-DSM-IV. מטופלים אשר אובחנו בעבר בפרעה נפשית, וקיבלו טיפול, יחלקו עמנו את חוויתם האישית. דרכם ננסה להבין את מושג ההחלמה ונעשיר את הדיון אודות היתרונות והמגבלות שטומנת בחובה מערכת ה-DSM-5.

מטרות הקורס:
ללמוד פסיכופתולוגיה של המבוגר על-פי המודל הרפואי, ולתת לתלמיד כלים ביקורתיים להגיע לאבחנה אחרי שיקול של החלופות. ללוות את ההתנסות של התלמיד בפרקטיקום בידע תיאורטי ואמפירי ולקשר בין החוויה הקלינית ללימוד.

תוצרי למידה :
בסיומו של קורס זה, סטודנטים יהיו מסוגלים:
תפוקות למידה – לאחר שסיים בהצלחה את הקורס, התלמיד:
1. יכיר את האבחנות העיקריות של ה-DSM-5
2. יבין את הרקע האטיולוגי לאבחנות המרכזיות.
3. יוכל לתת אבחנה לפי הקטגוריות של ה-DSM-5
4. יוכל לדון באבחנות ובאבחנות מבדלות.
5. ידע את ההמלצות לטיפול לפי אבחנה.
6. יבין את תהליך ההחלמה מהפרעות נפשיות
