Course/Module description:
The laboratory on the biology of human social behavior examines the biological systems (genes, hormones, etc) underlying aspects of social behavior such as trust, cooperation, and competition. This course provides students with an in depth opportunity to gain hands on research experience. Students will read relevant research articles, attend lab meetings, recruit and run subjects for experiments, develop their own research question related to projects in the lab, and have the opportunity to conduct a study of their own, including writing it up for the avodah seminaryonit.

To acquire a basic foundation for conducting research in this field
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
To understand the principles and methodologies involved in this research area.
To learn to plan and conduct a simple research project.
To perform statistical analyses of experimental results, and to summarize the findings in a brief research report.
