Course/Module description:
Research focusing on the use of psychophysiological and behavioral measures for the detection of concealed knowledge (the Concealed Information Test- CIT)

Course/Module aims:
Students will get acquainted with the theory underlying the CIT as well as the methodological aspects of CIT research.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Design experiment in this area, analyze results of CIT studies with ANS measures and write research reports and articles.

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Tutorials with the instructor and lab work

Course/Module Content:
a. The external validity of the CIT (the roles of emotional arousal and free choice)

b. Orienting vs. inhibition as accouts for the CIT effect

Verschuere, Ben-Shakhar and Meijer (2011).
Memory detection: theory and application of the Concealed Information Test. Cambridge University Press.
