What turns you into who you are? In this course, we will review important discoveries in the scientific study of personality from different perspectives, including research on personality traits, biological approaches, psychoanalytic approaches, cognitive approaches, and more.
Course/Module aims:
1. Becoming familiarized with important theories in personality research.
2. Developing and applying scientific thinking in the context of personality.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Distinguish between different approaches to personality research, identify the strengths and limitations of each approach, and understand how combining different approaches reveals a more complete picture of the human personality.
