Course/Module description:
The course will focus on different statistical methods, with reference to prevailing research paradigms in
Psychology.


Course/Module aims:
To master basic methods for data analyses in Psychological research.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Carry out commonly used statistical analyses.
Understanding the method of analysis of variance.
Embrace quantitative approaches to assess experimental data.

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Lectures and exercises

Course/Module Content:
T-tests; paired sample t-test.
F distribution, one-way analysis of variance.
Planned contrasts.
Post-hoc contrasts.
Two way analysis of variance.
Effect size for analysis of variance.
Non - parametric tests.
Regression and correlation.
Repeated measures design.
