Course/Module description:
The course will focus on different statistical methods, with reference to prevailing research paradigms in
Psychology.
Course/Module aims:
To master basic methods for data analyses in Psychological research.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. Formulate a hypothesis to study a data set.
2. Choose among different statistical methods the proper one given the hypothesis made.
3. Apply a range of statistical methods to datasets and explain their results
4. Identify wrong choices in the application of statistical methods on data sets
5. Conduct assessments of modeling approaches using quantitative metrics
6. Work effectively in heterogeneous teams on statistical problems

Additional information:
An exercise will be given each week. Work on the exercise can be done in groups, but submission is individual. Each recorded lesson contains questions, answering those constitutes 5% of the grade. There are 2 projects and a final quiz. There is no Moed B for the final quiz.
