Close reading of the Great Shamash hymn, comparing different translations and familiarising with secondary lit.

Course/Module aims:

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Getting to know Akkadian hymnal lit. from the 1st mill. BCE. Religious and personal piety in ancient Mesopotamia.
