Course/Module description:
Within this course „German Film“ will watch, discuss and analyse several German films/filmcuts developed before and after the „wall came down (1989).
Eastgerman as well as westgerman specific topics and social issues of the 60ies, 70ies and “Wende” (1989) will be in the focus of this course.
Course/Module aims:
we will extend and improve our knowledge and understanding of German history, cultural and social events- pictured through various films.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Improvement of knowledge and understanding of German history, essential cultural and social movements in Germany within last decades
