Course/Module description:
The course deals with the political structures in which the social policy is formulated and with the actions of the different powers who act within the political frameworks. In addition the course presents some of the ideologies which stand at the basis of the decisions makers thinking.

Course/Module aims:
To familiar the students with basic concepts in political science, in the understanding of the political structure of Israel and the main social approaches

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Discuss central concepts in political science, to analysis characteristics of different regimes and to define power and democracy. The students will be familiar with the role of ideology and with the role of social work as a profession and their responsibility as agents of change.
