תאור כללי של הקורס:
What is a Marxist approach to a literary text? What is Historicism? What does it mean Dialectics? What does it mean Totality? This course will consider the most influential Marxist and historicist thinkers and literary critics of the twentieth century.

מטרות הקורס:
Learning the critical approach of authors such as György Lukács, Antonio Gramsci, and Walter Benjamin. Finally we will move on authors such as Mikhail Bakhtin, Erich Auerbach, Raymond Williams, Terry Eagleton, and Fredric Jameson.

At the end of the course the students will be able to approach in a Marxist way every literary text
