Course/Module description:
We will discuss: (a) the nature of the legal norm, (b) sources of law, especially in legislation, (c) the judicial system (d) the principles of the rule of law, (e) elements of administrative and legal entities of various types, (f) human rights types: rights person; civil rights and social rights; (g) constitution and constitutional principles.
Course/Module aims:
1) basic familiarity with the principles and objectives of law 2) basic familiarity with the justice systems in the major areas - constitution, penal, administrative law, etc. 3) A critical review - does the trial indeed produce justice, and promote human rights and social rights (while introducing the legal history on the subject).
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1) better understand legal discourse - concepts, considerations, and more. 2) recognize the basic form of legal instruments that can be used to try and improve the situation of disadvantaged populations 3) better understand various problems arising from the use of legal tools.

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction:
Frontal teaching, students will be required to a critical analysis of verdicts, articles, and relevant historical events. The course assignment includes observation in court, and critical analysis of the findings using reference materials.
